Peggy is very different from your average grandmother. Driving sports excited her since she spent her childhood watching her father race motorcycles. She got her first car, a Ford Model A, when she was 16, and then kept buying and driving a wide range of cars, starting with a Volkswagen Beetle and ending with a Ferrari 328 GTS.

Her goal has been to own a Lamborghini as her ultimate vehicle. After viewing the Miura in a magazine, she decided to make getting a Lamborghini her future goal. She made her dream come true in 2012 by purchasing one of just 150 Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale vehicles – the hardest and rarefied Gallardo variant.

On 25 November 2013, the last Gallardo was rolled off the production line. The Gallardo was replaced by the Huracán in 2014.

The Gallardo STS combines street and race track features by taking the design of a race version and bringing it to legally drivable roads. Its V10 engine produces 570 horsepower and can push out 398 pound-feet of torque. At 3.4 seconds, it goes from zero to 60 mph and maintains 199 mph speeds. The car includes a carbon fiber rear wing along with a roll cage and racing bucket seat to go alongside its custom exhaust, which lets it roar like a true beast.

Peggy isn’t keeping her Lamborghini in the garage – she uses it both on the street and at car events. She operates her Lamborghini both in regular traffic and during track sessions because driving to the edge of performance gives her thrill. She takes her car to events and talks to other car fans who enjoy supercars just as she does. She reports driving her Lamborghini transforms her into a youthful and joyful person because she does not mind how others judge her.

Age is just a number

Many senior citizens around the world enjoy owning and driving Lamborghinis. Her friend who is 88 owns a Huracan Performante. They usually visit track events side by side and enjoy racing with each other. According to Peggy, you can drive a supercar if you have both the driving skill and passion to go for it regardless of your age.

Like any young person, she shows you can keep enjoying life and sticking with what you love no matter your age. The car enthusiast demonstrates supercars belong to everyone who recognizes their elegance while respecting their driving abilities.

She doesn’t intend to quit driving anytime soon. She wants to keep driving her Lamborghini until her death while hoping to pass the car down to her grandkids who share her hobby. She is delighted that owning a Lamborghini remains the best thing in her life and counts her car as her fortune.

We honor Peggy as a real legend because of her strong love for driving. She shows us all that anyone can enjoy top-class cars and still have plenty of good years ahead. At heart she remains the best Gallardo grandmother driver and we want to see her racing for years ahead.
